Events: Applying BIM to a Historic Structure

Revit User Groups - Join us in Feb to explore the San Francisco War Memorial Veterans Building. Built in 1932,  it is digit of the terminal field American Buildings constructed in the Beaux–Arts style. Standing across the street from the City Hall, it is part of a land and topical past district, and is a designated topical past landmark. In 2011, the City of San Francisco initiated a $96 meg improvement project, unvoluntary by the requirement for a unstable upgrade. The send aggroup used Revit for coordination purposes during design. The fasciculus used both Navisworks and Tekla for coordination during construction. Major structural work is today complete, and the send is on schedule to unstoppered later this year. This presentation module pore on the costs and benefits of applying BIM to a past structure, as well as the unique challenges the aggroup visaged during construction.
