Schedule those Levels - A Method (with a little help from our friends)

This post outlines a method for planning levels using the superior 'Coordinate Scheduling Tool' from the guys over at Excitech.

This method provides a pretty burly workaround to the epilepsy of the ability to directly schedule the levels themselves

Firstly, download and establish the utility from here

With meaning to the video, the important points are as follows:

  • Create a newborn Generic Model Family. The kinsfolk module essentially be empty, but for reference, add whatever signaling detail. This can be whatever floats your boat, but in this housing I've additional a circle.
  • Under the 'Type Comments' constant formula box, add the articulate 'Level'. This module allow us to separate the kinsfolk once its unexploded into the project.
  • Under the kinsfolk collection parameters, make sure 'Always Vertical' and 'Work Plane Based' are checked
  • Load the kinsfolk into the project. Under 'Addin' tab, on the 'Excitech Tools' panel, superior 'Create Parameters'. Check 'Generic Models' and apply.
  • Create a newborn organisation choice ordered called 'Level Marks'. Rename the direct choice to 'Blank' and create a second choice called 'Level Marks'
  • In a organisation view, ordered the organisation options to 'Level Marks' and insert the Generic Model family. In this case, at a known grid point. Ensure 'Place on Work Plane' is selected
  • Copy the symbolisation to the clipboard and superior 'Paste', 'Paste to Selected Levels'. Highlight and garner the remaining levels
  • Set the organisation choice backwards to 'Main Model'. The symbols module today disappear. This provides whatever curb by locking absent the symbols, so they cannot easily be deleted
  • Create a newborn multi-category schedule called 'Level List'
  • Add the parameters 'Family', 'Type Comments', 'Level' and 'ExcitechZ'
  • Add a newborn premeditated continuance 'Level (m)'. This is to modify the 'ExcitechZ' constant from millimetres to metres, so divide it by 1000 in the formula
  • Under the 'Filter' tab, ordered to 'Type Comments' equals Level
  • Under the 'Sorting/Grouping' tab, ordered to 'Level' and check rising (or descending if that's your preference). Uncheck 'Itemize every instance' (this module stingy exclusive one entry module show, modify if the take contains more than one happening of the symbol)
  • Under the 'Formatting' tab, ordered to 'Family','Type Comments' and 'ExcitechZ to hidden. For the 'Level (m)' parameter, amend the field format to 3 quantitative places. Ensure bury trailing zeros is unchecked. Apply and hit ok
  • In the schedule parameters, low visibility/graphics, ordered the organisation choice to 'Level Marks'
  • Under 'Addin' tab, on the 'Excitech Tools' panel, superior 'User Options'. Check 'Generic Models'. Select the 'Coordinate Schedule' button. The take values module today fill the schedule

Please state the agency module requirement to be re-run if the levels change.  When you add a level, re-enter the organisation option, copy an existing symbolisation and adhesive to the newborn level.
